Operational Constraints and Risks

The company continues to face substantial operational and financial difficulties, primarily linked to a fire incident that occurred in May 2025 at its factory located in Lote Parshuram Industrial area. This event caused significant damage to property, plant, equipment, and inventories, leading to the complete halt of all production processes at the Mother Unit (C-4).

The inability to commence manufacturing activities is attributed by management to a combination of operational constraints and pending statutory clearances. Because other owned or leased units depend on output from the C-4 unit, all subsequent operations have also ceased. The company has formally intimated the suspension of operations to relevant authorities, including the Factory Inspector and the Office of the Labour Commissioner.

Key financial and regulatory challenges include:

  • Fire Incident Impact: The substantial loss caused by the fire was uninsured and recognized as exceptional items in previous periods (Rs. 2,057.47 Lakhs).
  • Regulatory Disputes: The company has received notices and demand orders under Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws totaling Rs. 3,810.93 lakhs over various assessment periods. Appeals have been filed with appellate authorities, and management maintains that the company has a strong case on merits, noting these amounts represent contingent liabilities.
  • Grant Recognition: Due to the suspension of production following the fire incident, the company has discontinued further recognition of Government Grant income pending the restoration of operations and compliance reassessment.
  • Asset Impairment and Labour Dispute: Management noted that due to the factory’s non-operational status and financial constraints, they were unable to disburse wages to certain laborers. A subsequent strike by an unrecognized labor union outside the premises has obstructed access, leading management to file a police complaint seeking assistance, though intervention from authorities remains unconfirmed.

The independent auditor's review noted that while the company is actively pursuing recovery and rebuilding strategies, the severe operational disruptions present complex challenges regarding damage assessment of the plant and machinery.
