Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has secured several significant orders for its Metals & Minerals (M&M) business vertical, reinforcing its position as a leader in providing world-class engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions across the metals and minerals value chain. The contracts span projects ranging from iron ore handling plants to steel plant expansions and zinc processing facilities.

One key order was secured from India's largest iron ore producer. As part of this company’s expansion program aimed at achieving 100 MTPA of iron ore production capacity by 2030, L&T has been awarded Package #BE-01C for the 18 MTPA Iron Ore Handling Plant in Chhattisgarh. This scope includes design and engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the downhill conveyor system, screening plant, stockpile, yard equipment, Rapid Wagon Loading System (RWLS), and associated auxiliaries.

The company also won a contract from another public sector Navratna firm for a steel plant expansion in West Bengal. L&T secured various Design & Build and Balance of Plant packages for this project, which is increasing the plant capacity from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA. Furthermore, L&T extended its association with a major private sector metals producer by securing an EPC order for a Zinc Processing Plant. This project involves design and engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and associated site services.
