Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has appointed Shri Jasmeet Singh Bindra, IRTS, as an Additional Director (Promoter - Non-Executive & Non-Independent) and Chairman of the company. The appointment was formally approved by the Board following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.Shri Jasmeet Singh Bindra's tenure in this capacity is effective from June 9, 2026.
The decision followed the cessation of Dr. M. Angamuthu as Director and Chairman of the company, which took effect on May 20, 2026. Mr. Bindra was previously noted to be serving as the Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Authority.
The appointment will continue until the date of the next Annual General Meeting (AGM), at which time shareholder approval for his regular position as Non-Executive Director will be sought. Alternatively, this status may be secured through a Postal Ballot within three months of the appointment date, or as per further orders, whichever comes earlier.
