The Bank reports exemplary safety performance with zero incidents of lost time injury for both employees and workers in FY 2025-26. In terms of resource management:
  • Waste: The bank practices a zero landfill approach, with resources being recycled or reused. Total waste generated was 59.64 metric tonnes (MT) in FY 2025-26, and 56.56 MT was recovered through recycling, re-use, and other recovery operations.
  • Water: The Bank reports specific water consumption data in kilolitres per rupee of turnover, noting that for the previous year (FY 2024-2025), consumption intensity stood at 4.10 kL/₹ crore.
  • GHG Emissions: Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emission intensity was reported as 3.37,397 tonnes of CO2e per total energy consumed for FY 2025-26, with an intensity adjusted for PPP at 13.39 GJ / Cr INR.

The Bank’s commitment to employee wellness is reflected in its robust safety infrastructure. Key measures include:
  • Safety Systems: The bank utilizes advanced systems like fire detection and firefighting systems, automatic fire suppression in server rooms, earthing pits, and CCTV surveillance across premises.
  • Training: Regular training and mock drills are conducted at all branches, and 100% of employees participated in the fire safety drills at high-rise buildings during FY 2025-26.
  • Benefits: The bank provides essential benefits such as 100% coverage for Health Insurance and Accident Insurance among permanent employees, alongside providing specific training to staff on human rights issues.
