Hexaware and upGrad Enterprise Expand AI Collaboration for Global Transformation Programs

Hexaware Technologies Limited, an AI-first digital and IT services company, has expanded its collaboration with upGrad Enterprise, the Corporate Skilling and Workforce Transformation division of global skilling major upGrad. The expanded partnership is set to deliver specialized AI skilling and enterprise transformation programs designed for Hexaware’s worldwide client base, aiming to establish a foundation for long-term advancements in AI expertise.

The partnership deepens the existing relationship between the two companies, which previously collaborated on internal GenAI upskilling initiatives and the launch of an Agentic AI Academy. Under the new arrangement, upGrad will serve as Hexaware’s preferred partner for enterprise AI capability development. This signifies a transition from a vendor-buyer model focused on internal skilling to a broader global go-to-market alliance involving both companies in client engagement and market initiatives.

The extensive program portfolio is designed to support enterprises in scaling their AI business lines. This includes offering verticalized AI learning tracks aligned with specific industry use cases within Hexaware’s sectors, role-based Agentic AI programs for technical, business, and corporate teams, and Executive AI Innovation Labs for C-suite leaders. Additionally, the collaboration focuses on building an AI-enabled Coding Center of Excellence and providing custom enterprise transformation programs through rapid prototyping and build-day formats.

These initiatives are engineered to guide enterprises in upskilling staff, specifically focusing on transitioning Cloud Architects toward GenAI Architect roles and elevating developers into advanced AI engineering capabilities. Teams across various business functions will be trained to utilize GenAI tools and low-code autonomous agents, enabling them to automate multi-step decisions and build simple automated workflows with less reliance on specialist technology teams.

R. Srikrishna, CEO & Executive Director of Hexaware, commented that "Enterprise AI programs are increasingly constrained by execution capacity." He added that clients require a synergy where architecture, engineering, and business teams are aligned toward a common delivery agenda, embedding workforce readiness directly into their strategy.

Arushee Aggarwal, CEO of upGrad Enterprise, emphasized the importance of influence in skilling, stating, "Enterprise skilling has to influence how people make decisions, design solutions, and deliver work." She noted that with Hexaware, they can embed this necessary rigor into programs spanning executive priorities, engineering practice, and functional adoption.

The collaboration between Hexaware and upGrad Enterprise already reflected the demand for enterprise AI capabilities within financial services, having delivered a three-day AI training program to executives and senior engineering managers from a major banking client in March of this year. Furthermore, the two organizations plan to work alongside hyperscalers and AI-native venture partners. These combined efforts aim not only to improve engineering outcomes, targeting approximately 30-40% faster releases, better code quality, and fewer bugs, but also to support enterprises in scaling GenAI responsibly with enhanced governance while boosting productivity and innovation.
