Larsen & Toubro Secures Mega Order to Build India's Largest NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for Together AI
Larsen & Toubro, through its AI infrastructure subsidiary LTN Compute, has secured a significant mega order to construct India's largest single-cluster AI infrastructure. The project involves deploying an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory at Vyoma's Chennai data centre campus for the US-based AI cloud innovator, Together AI.The integrated AI Factory is set up to power Together AI’s AI-native cloud platform, which is designed for large-scale training and inference workloads. This infrastructure move marks L&T's entry into the AI Factory business and aims to strengthen India's ecosystem for next-generation AI infrastructure while supporting global innovation.
The facility will be located at Vyoma’s Chennai data centre campus. The operational specifications of the integrated AI Factory include a capacity of 10,000 B300 NVIDIA GPUs. This platform combines hyperscale data centre infrastructure, accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects, and high-throughput parallel storage, enabling seamless deployment and scaling of AI workloads.
Vyoma’s Chennai campus is described as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site, with Phase 1 designed for 250 MW and possessing power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, providing a scalable foundation for future expansion.
Mr S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director of Larsen & Toubro, stated that the deployment of an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for Together AI is a significant milestone in L&T's Gigawatt AI Infrastructure Mission. He added that the initiative reinforces their commitment to establishing India as a global hub for next-generation AI infrastructure.
Mr Vipul Ved Prakash, Co-founder & CEO of Together AI, commented on the partnership, noting that "Making AI globally accessible is going to be the biggest infrastructure build out in human history," and affirmed that L&T is essential in bringing the scale, resilience, and engineering excellence required for this moment to India.
