New Delhi, July 9, 2026 — Havells India Limited, a leading Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and consumer durables company, has announced a strategic collaboration with Pixii AS, a Norway-based energy storage technology firm. The partnership aims to develop and introduce advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for the dynamic Indian market.

The collaboration signifies a strengthening of Havells' presence in India's evolving energy transition sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed following representatives from Havells, Pixii, and the Embassy of Norway, including H.E. Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India.

Phased Approach for Ecosystem Development​

The strategic collaboration mandates a phased roadmap to build a long-term Battery Energy Storage System ecosystem in India. This process will begin with pilot installations designed to validate commercial opportunities and co-develop an all-in-one energy storage solution. The partnership is set to advance toward local manufacturing of products within India, ensuring that solutions are specifically tailored to the needs of Indian customers.

Reshu Madan, SBU head - Renewables at Havells India Limited, stated that this collaboration "brings together global innovation to India" as the country accelerates its transition towards a cleaner energy future. Aseem Goyal, BU Head - Renewables, added that the partnership reinforces commitment to expanding Havells' energy solutions portfolio and contributing to India’s sustainability goals through the combined strengths of both companies.
