Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited has secured board approval for a significant expansion initiative at its Dahej facility. The company's Board of Directors granted in-principle approval for establishing one additional HCL synthesis Unit at Dahej, with an estimated project cost of Rs. 55 Crores.The introduction of this new HCL synthesis Unit is set to significantly improve the company’s operational efficiency. This expansion will further enhance chlorine utilization and enable Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd to optimize the production of Caustic Soda at its Dahej location.
Beyond the synthesis unit, the Board has also approved the establishment of a Phosphoric Acid plant at the Dahej complex. The increased HCL generation capacity from the new HCL synthesis Unit will be utilized directly in this planned Phosphoric Acid Plant, ensuring integrated resource management within the company's operations.
