The company achieved its highest ever quarterly sales revenue, coupled with a substantial rise in EBITDA, driven by product mix optimization and expansion into new export markets.The Board of Directors approved GACL's unaudited financial results for the quarter ended on June 30, 2026, on both standalone and consolidated bases.

The strong performance was attributed to product mix optimization aimed at increasing realization and expanding the company's footprint in new export markets.
Green Energy Integration and Future Expansion
Energy management remains a critical focus area for GACL. The company successfully reduced energy costs compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year due to an increased reliance on renewable power. The share of renewable energy at GACL during Q1 FY 2026-27 rose significantly to 59% from 39%.In terms of strategic growth, the Board granted in-principle approval for several projects intended to bolster future operations and enhance sustainability. These approvals include:
- HCL Synthesis Unit: A new HCL synthesis unit at Dahej, estimated to cost approximately Rs. 55 Crores, has been approved. This facility is set to improve chlorine utilization and optimize Caustic Soda production at the Dahej plant.
- Phosphoric Acid Plant: The establishment of a Phosphoric Acid plant at Dahej has also been approved. The additional HCL generated from the new synthesis unit will be used in this plant.
- Vision 2047: The Board also sanctioned the Vision 2047 document, aligning with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Operational Efficiency Initiatives
The company is driving efficiency through "Project Ahvaan." These ongoing initiatives are designed to improve operational efficiency and achieve cost cutting across various functions. Project Ahvaan also covers optimum capacity utilization of existing plants, enhancement of green energy within the overall power basket, and organizational improvements including talent management, capability enhancement, digitization, and the use of AI.GACL was established in 1973 in Vadodara, Gujarat, to manufacture Caustic Soda and allied products. From an initial capacity of 37,425 TPA caustic soda, the organization has enhanced its capacity to 8,52,400 TPA, with manufacturing facilities located across four complexes in Vadodara and Dahej. The company offers over 35 products used as raw materials in various industries.
