Emami Paper Mills Issues Notice Regarding Transfer of Unclaimed Dividends to IEPF​

Emami Paper Mills Limited has notified shareholders regarding the process for unclaimed dividends and corresponding equity shares, which are subject to transfer to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority if remaining unclaimed for seven consecutive years.

The company has informed concerned shareholders about the provisions stating that any dividend(s) which remain unpaid for seven consecutive years from the date of transfer to the respective Unpaid Dividend Account shall be transferred by the Company to the IEPF. Similarly, all shares for which dividend(s) remained unclaimed or unpaid for seven consecutive years or more will also be transferred to the IEPF.

Emami Paper Mills provided details of the unclaimed/unpaid dividends for the following five consecutive financial years:

The company noted that no dividend was declared for the financial years ended March 31, 2020, and March 31, 2021.

Shareholders are requested to claim the aforementioned dividends by September 10, 2026. Failure to claim the dividends by this date will result in the Company transferring the shares to the IEPF without further notice, in line with the required rules.

To claim the unclaimed dividends, shareholders can either submit documentation to the Company at its Registered Office or utilize the prescribed Form IEPF-5 by applying online to the IEPF Authority.

The company noted that both the unclaimed dividend amount and the corresponding shares, along with all accruing benefits, can be claimed through the process outlined by the IEPF Authority. Shareholders holding shares in physical form are advised that the original share certificates will be deemed cancelled and non-negotiable upon transfer to the IEPF. For those holding shares in demat form, the Company will inform the depository via Corporate Action for the transfer.
