EMA Partners India Limited has announced a significant strategic acquisition, executing a Share Purchase and Subscription Agreement (SPSA) for the complete purchase of Talent Hired-The Job Store Private Limited (Taggd). This transaction grants the Company and its subsidiary 100% equity ownership of Taggd, making it a subsidiary of EMA.The acquisition is set to dramatically strengthen EMA’s position across the talent acquisition value chain. Taggd, described as one of India's largest homegrown integrated Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services providers, specializes in delivering digital and AI led recruitment solutions at scale.
Through its proprietary platform, TARA (Taggd AI Recruitment Assistant), Taggd has demonstrated significant impact, having delivered over 700,000 hires to more than 100 marquee clients spanning 14 industry sectors. The combination of EMA’s resources with James Douglas and Taggd is positioned to establish the resulting entity as one of the largest recruitment platforms in India.
The transaction details were released, confirming that the acquisition constitutes a cash consideration payable in tranches, as per the terms outlined in the SPSA. Indicative closing for the deal is expected within 15 days from the execution date of the Share Purchase and Subscription Agreement. The proposed transaction was stated to be not a related party transaction.
