Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited Secures ₹52.86 Crore Order for Cable Supply in Hyderabad Data Centre Project

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Aurionpro Solutions Limited for the supply of HT and LT electrical cables destined for a hyperscale data centre campus in Hyderabad. The contract, valued at approximately ₹52.86 crore including GST, covers the HYD-20 package of the campus, where Aurionpro is the appointed EPC contractor.

The order signifies a significant contract win for DICABS in the rapidly expanding infrastructure sector. Supplies under the LOI are scheduled to commence immediately and will proceed on a staggered basis aligned with the site’s construction programme at DAP Hyderabad.

Focus on Copper-Intensive Requirement

The scope of work is highly concentrated on copper cabling. The package encompasses approximately 130 kilometres of cable, with over 116 kilometres consisting of 1100 V grade, XLPE-insulated, FRLS-sheathed 1C x 300 sq mm copper conductor cable, which will serve as the backbone distribution cable for high-density server halls. The remaining scope includes 33 kV (E) grade aluminium XLPE armoured FRLS cable, 1.1 kV aluminium armoured LT power cables, and copper control cables, all built to the client's IEC 61914 cleat and fire-performance specifications.

This contract is particularly vital as it draws directly upon the recently commissioned copper wire drawing and manufacturing line at DICABS, which holds a capacity of 1,500 MT of copper cables per month. This capability allows Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited to expand into copper-based cabling alongside its established aluminium cable business.

Management View on Data Centre Segment

Umesh Chayya, Whole time Director at Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited, commented that data centres represent the fastest-growing load centre in India and demand a level of quality and consistency few plants can consistently deliver. He stated that this order validates the Company's investment in copper capabilities and its ability to meet delivery schedules against a dynamic construction programme. Chayya added that DICABS intends to be a reference cable supplier for India's data centre build-out, noting that the company’s Order book for Data Centre currently exceeds Rs 575 crore, and management aims to target this segment aggressively.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited is an integrated manufacturer of power cables and conductors, operating from its manufacturing complex in Vadodara, Gujarat. The Company manufactures EHV, HV, MV, and LV power cables, control and instrumentation cables, and offers a full range of aluminium and alloy conductors.

DIACABS Stock Price Movement

On Friday, Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited shares edged higher, closing at ₹356.10 after gaining 0.04%. The stock traded a total volume of 524,345 shares during the session.
