Key Financial and Operational Updates
For the Power Division business, the company mentioned that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) in place for its Biomass Power Generation business, with an average billing of ₹80 crore per year for the preceding two fiscal years.Regarding tariff rates, the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) passed an interim Order revising the tariff for Malwa Power Private Limited to a fixed tariff of Rs. 3.50 per unit, as the PPA expired on 26.04.2025. Subsequently, PSERC's Final order dated 27 March 2026 fixed the tariff rate for FY 2025-26 at Rs 5.224/kWh (Rs 0.97 fixed + Rs 4.254 variable), incorporating an annual escalation of 5% on variable cost. This sets the tariff rate for FY 2026-27 at Rs 5.437 per kWh effective from 01.04.2027.
Additionally, the tariff of DEE Development Engineers Limited (Power Division) was revised to Rs. 5.877 per unit by PSERC vide its order dated 20.08.2025. However, an appeal filed by the company before the High Court of Punjab & Haryana resulted in an order dated 23rd October, 2025, which stayed the Commission's order. Consequently, the company continues to supply electricity to PSPCL at the prevailing tariff of ₹7.47 per unit, and any recovery claimed by PSPCL on account of tariff differential remains withheld pending the High Court's final disposal of the matter.
The company clarified that the total value of executed orders represents the aggregate amount of invoices raised. However, revenue recognized under Indian GAAP (Ind AS 115 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers) may differ from the invoiced amount, as revenue recognition aligns with the transfer of control of goods or services to the customer, considering various Incoterms and performance obligations.
For reference, the exchange rate considered for existing export orders of DEE Thailand was 1 THB = 2.86146 INR.
