UFBU Announces Strike Against UCO Bank, Affecting Operations in September and October​

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has served notice regarding a planned series of strikes targeting UCO Bank, encompassing various issues and demands. The action is set to take place across multiple phases in September and October 2026.

The UFBU, representing seven constituent unions, has announced the strike. The participating unions include AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBOC, and INBEF.

The strike is scheduled to occur in phases. The first phase of the strike is scheduled for September 11, 2026. A second phase, lasting three days, is set for September 28, 2026, through September 30, 2026. Furthermore, a continuous strike is planned starting from October 26, 2026.

UCO Bank has confirmed that it has taken necessary steps to ensure the continuity of its operations despite the notice. However, the bank stated that the functioning of its Branches and Offices may be affected should the proposed strike materialize.

UCOBANK Stock Price Movement​

UCO Bank shares are edging up to ₹24.06 as of 12:35 PM, having climbed 0.33% in live trading. The stock currently trades on a volume of 1.37 million shares, continuing its positive momentum in the market.
