
Bharat Dynamics Limited to Establish New Manufacturing Facilities
Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is establishing two new manufacturing facilities in Ibrahimpatnam, Telangana, and Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, to meet the evolving requirements of the Indian armed forces. The inauguration of these facilities is expected shortly, with production commencing during the financial year 2026-27.The Ibrahimpatnam facility in Telangana will house eight assembly lines to support new weapon systems, along with specialized testing facilities, including a rocket motor testing facility and a warhead penetration testing facility. The Jhansi facility, located within the Uttar Pradesh defense corridor, will focus on propellant manufacturing, bulk manufacturing of Grad rockets, and in-house research and development of new energetics.
These expansions align with BDL's current order book of approximately Rs. 26000 crore, with an anticipated inflow of additional orders amounting to Rs. 15000 crore in the financial year 2026-27. The new facilities are expected to diversify the company’s product profile and enhance operational efficiency.
