
Bank of India Posts Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 36.23% as Asset Quality Improves
Bank of India has reported significant growth in profitability and operational efficiency for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, ending June 30, 2026. The bank saw a sharp increase in net profit and improved key asset quality metrics across its global and domestic portfolios.The bank recorded Net Profit of ₹ 3,068 Crore for Q1 FY27, marking a 36.23% year-on-year (YoY) improvement from the ₹ 2,252 Crore reported in Q1 FY26. Operating Profit increased by 25.99% YoY to stand at ₹ 5,051 Crore. Furthermore, the Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) saw a substantial improvement of 498 basis points (bps), settling at 46.33%.

Asset Quality and Profitability Status
The bank improved its asset quality metrics during the quarter. Gross NPA (GNPA) declined by 26.41% YoY from ₹ 19,640 Cr in June '25 to ₹ 14,454 Cr in June '26. Correspondingly, the GNPA ratio improved by 111 bps, standing at 1.81%.Net NPA declined by 18.81% YoY from ₹ 4,950 Cr to ₹ 4,019 Cr. The Net NPA ratio saw a 24 bps improvement and stood at 0.51%. The bank's Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) was reported at 93.83% in June '26, up from 92.94% in June '25.
