
Suryoday Small Finance Bank Posts Strong Q1 FY27 Results; Advances Grow 32.5% YoY
Navi Mumbai: Suryoday Small Finance Bank Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, showcasing steady business growth alongside improved asset quality and robust operational performance.The Bank reported Gross Advances of Rs. 14,376 Cr as on June 2, 2026, marking a substantial increase of 32.5% year on year (YoY) compared to Rs. 10,846 Cr in Q1 FY26. Concurrently, deposits grew by 29.4% YoY, reaching Rs. 14,634 Cr from Rs. 11,312 Cr in the previous fiscal year.
The financial metrics reflected strong profitability and operational leverage throughout the quarter. Net total income increased by 30.3% YoY, rising to Rs. 463.6 Cr from Rs. 355.8 Cr. Furthermore, Pre-provision Operating Profit (PPOP) grew by 27.2% YoY, reaching Rs. 138.6 Cr from Rs. 108.9 Cr.
Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q1 FY27 stood at Rs. 75.2 Cr, compared to Rs. 35.3 Cr in the corresponding quarter of Q1 FY26. Net Interest Income (NII) also saw a rise of 27.8% YoY, moving from Rs. 247.1 Cr to Rs. 315.7 Cr.
Asset Quality and Operational Efficiency
Suryoday Small Finance Bank demonstrated prudent risk management, reflected in its asset quality ratios. The Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) ratio stood at 6.5%, a significant improvement from 8.5% in Q1 FY26. The Net NPA (NNPA) ratio was reported at 1.2%, down sharply from 5.6% YoY.The bank's Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR), excluding Technical Write offs, stood robustly at 81.8%. As of June '26, GNPA stood at Rs. 931 Cr and NNPA at Rs. 170 Cr. The Bank noted that Rs. 134 Cr is receivable under the CGFMU scheme.
Operational metrics also showed strength. The IF Current bucket Collection Efficiency stood at 99.2%, while overall Collection Efficiency (1 EMI adjusted) was 92.5%, up from 86.4% in Q1 FY26.

The bank's liability composition was also strong, with Retail Deposits constituting 87.3% of total deposits in Q1 FY27, up from 81.6% in the prior year.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Baskar Babu Ramachandran, MD & CEO, stated that the Bank commenced FY27 on a positive footing, balancing steady business expansion with disciplined risk management and sustainable profitability goals."Gross Advances grew by 32.5% YoY to Rs. 14,376 Cr, while Deposits increased by 29.4% YoY to Rs. 14,634 Cr," Mr. Ramachandran noted. "The CGFMU framework continues to provide significant support to the balance sheet with a largely covered IF portfolio."
He highlighted that the asset quality improvement, reflected in GNPA and NNPA at 6.5% and 1.2% respectively, reflects robust collection efficiencies and prudent risk management. The Bank intends to build further on its secured lending portfolio and strengthen its retail deposit franchise while accelerating digital capabilities to achieve sustainable growth for all stakeholders.
