Standard Engineering Technology Limited has successfully completed the first phase of its strategic investment in GL HAKKO Co., Ltd., a Japanese company. The completion marks the acquisition of a significant stake as part of an ongoing international expansion initiative for the Indian technology firm.

The company confirmed that Phase I is complete following the successful remittance of subscription consideration through prescribed banking channels. This milestone was achieved after the execution of both the Share Subscription Agreement and the Shareholders' Agreement between Standard Engineering Technology Limited, GL HAKKO Co., Ltd., and its existing shareholder.

Through this initial phase, Standard Engineering Technology Limited has acquired 19.19% of the issued, subscribed and paid-up share capital of the Target Company. The company received confirmation from the Target Company upon the completion of the investment.

The business intends to expand its commitment through Phase II, which involves the subscription for an additional stake of up to 31.88% in GL HAKKO Co., Ltd. This second phase is planned within three years of the conclusion of Phase I and remains contingent on obtaining requisite regulatory approvals and fulfilling agreed conditions precedent. Upon the completion of both phases, Standard Engineering Technology Limited's aggregate shareholding in the company is proposed to increase up to 51.07%.

Standard Engineering Technology Limited's shares slipped today by 4.98% to settle at ₹272.70 in the post-market trading session. The stock saw considerable selling pressure during the day, with a total traded volume reaching 817,269 shares.
