Operational History and Sustainability

Since its inception in 2004 as a steel ingot and billet manufacturing plant in Hardikala, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Abha Power and Steel Limited has undergone significant expansion and transformation. In 2009, the company expanded by establishing a spheroidal graphite iron foundry specifically to serve Indian Railways. This industrial capacity was further upgraded in 2016 when the ingot plant transitioned into a dedicated steel foundry.

Currently, the company operates two foundries—SG iron and steel—within its 319,200 square-foot ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility located at the Silpahri Industrial Area in Bilaspur.

A key part of the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship is its captive solar power plant, which possesses a capacity of 3 MW. This installation contributes to saving 3400 MT of CO2 annually. Abha Power and Steel aims to become a green manufacturer of castings while maintaining quality, safety, value, and price competitiveness across domestic and international markets.
