Gujarat-based windmill tower manufacturer, Anawil Wire and Engineering, has successfully secured a significant anchor investment, raising Rs 50.64 crore from 19 major institutional investors. This funding commitment comes ahead of the company's upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The allocation of shares to these anchors was finalized on July 31, with all shares being allotted at the upper end of the price band. The strong investor confidence highlights the growing importance of Anawil in India's renewable energy supply chain.

Anchor Investors Solidify Confidence in Wind Energy Sector​

Abakkus Asset Manager and Carnelian Asset Management and Advisors were highlighted as among the largest anchor investors in this pre-market round. Both firms committed 2.59 lakh shares, valued at Rs 7 crore each to the company.

Other key participating institutions included Mint Focussed Growth Fund, Motilal Oswal Finvest, and Hem Growth Opportunities Fund. These investments underscore a concentrated interest from institutional capital in Anawil’s business model and market position.

IPO Structure Details and Public Subscription Timeline​

Anawil Wire aims to raise up to Rs 177.8 crore through its comprehensive public issue. The price band for the IPO has been set between Rs 257 and Rs 270 per share.

The structure of the offering includes a fresh issue comprising 52.84 lakh equity shares. Additionally, promoter Nimish Kumar Rameshchandra Vashi will sell 13 lakh shares through an Offer For Sale (OFS). The IPO is scheduled to open for public subscription on August 3 and close on August 5.

Financial Utilization and Corporate Profile​

The company has detailed plans for the utilization of net proceeds from the fresh issue tranche. A substantial amount, Rs 115 crore, will be specifically used to repay certain borrowings. The remaining funds allocated via the IPO will be utilized for general corporate purposes.

Anawil Wire operates two manufacturing facilities and supplies high-quality windmill towers. It serves marquee original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of wind turbine generators as well as various entities within the renewable energy sector. Hem Securities is serving as the sole book-running lead manager for this issue.
