Waterways Leisure Tourism IPO Set to Open: Surge in Cruise Sector Focuses Investor Interest

Waterways Leisure Tourism, the operator behind Cordelia Cruises, is set to open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for public subscription on June 23. The IPO presents a significant opportunity for investors interested in the growing leisure and tourism sector. The company has established a defined price band of Rs 769-808 per equity share for the issuance.

The offering comprises a fresh issue of shares valued at up to Rs 585 crore, providing substantial funds for corporate growth. Investors who wish to participate can begin bidding on June 23 and must adhere to specific minimum lot requirements. The IPO subscription window will close two days later, on June 25.

Key Details of the Waterways Leisure Tourism Offering

The company has set clear parameters for bidders, requiring a minimum purchase of 18 equity shares. Investors are permitted to bid in multiples of 18 equity shares thereafter.

Market tracking platforms offer insights into the potential listing performance. While the official subscription period is ongoing, grey market indicators suggest positive sentiment towards the stock. One platform quoted a Grey Market Premium (GMP) at Rs 12 for the shares, indicating an estimated listing gain of 1.49 percent. Another valuation noted a GMP of 3.22 percent, reflecting strong market interest in the offering.

How IPO Proceeds Will Be Utilised

A majority portion of the funds generated from this fresh issue will be strategically allocated to operational necessities. Specifically, Rs 480 crore collected during the IPO will be used for critical payments. These include deposits, advance lease rentals, and monthly lease payments related to the step-down subsidiary, Baycruise Shipping and Leasing (IFSC) Private Limited (Baycruise IFSC).

The remaining proceeds from the total issue size will be allocated towards general corporate purposes. This ensures that the funds raised support both immediate operational commitments and long term business expansion of Waterways Leisure Tourism.
