Complementing this operational strength, Voltas also announced a strategic binding term sheet with Atomberg Innovation Private Limited to jointly develop indigenous compressor technology for the domestic market.

The consolidated results demonstrated a strong performance across key segments and business units. Voltas Partners with Atomberg for Indigenous Compressor Technology

In a major strategic development, Voltas Limited signed a Binding Term Sheet with Atomberg Innovation Private Limited (AIPL). This partnership aims to establish a Joint Venture dedicated to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of high-efficiency Room Air Conditioner compressors and related parts in India.

The proposed JV seeks to address the need for indigenous compressor technology while strengthening supply chain resilience and localization efforts within the domestic market.

Mr. Mukundan Menon, Managing Director of Voltas Limited, highlighted the importance of this venture: "Compressor is the heart of an Air-conditioner... This partnership is an important step towards building indigenous technology capability and strengthening our long-term supply chain resilience."

The JV is designed to combine Atomberg's expertise in proprietary compressor technology and first-principles engineering with Voltas’ deep market understanding, manufacturing ecosystem, and scale. Voltas will serve as the anchor customer for the Joint Venture, providing a stable demand base, while AIPL acts as the core technology partner. The Joint Venture is currently proposed to operate on an equal shareholding basis, with a five-member board comprising three nominees from Voltas and two from AIPL.

The transaction remains subject to the satisfactory completion of due diligence, execution of Definitive Agreements, and receipt of any applicable approvals.
