Voltas Limited: Unclaimed Dividends for 2018-25 Declared for Transfer to IEPF​

Voltas Limited has issued a statement regarding the transfer of equity shares and unclaimed dividend amounts to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority. The transfer applies to dividend amounts that have not been claimed by shareholders for seven or more consecutive years.

The company noted that dividend declarations made for the financial years 2018-19 through 2024-25 remain uncashed or unclaimed in respect of the shareholding of Voltas Limited.

Shareholders are required to claim these outstanding amounts by returning the necessary request letters and supporting documents on or before August 21, 2026.

If the unclaimed dividend amounts are not claimed by the stipulated date of August 21, 2026, the dividend for the financial year 2018-19 and the associated equity shares will be transferred to the IEPF Authority on or after September 9, 2026.

For shareholders, the process for claiming funds and shares depends on whether the shares are held in physical or electronic form.

For shareholders holding shares in physical form, the original share certificates will be deemed cancelled and nonnegotiable upon transfer to the IEPF.

For shareholders holding shares in electronic form, the company will inform the Depository of the transfer of shares to the IEPF.

The unclaimed dividend and equity shares transferred to the IEPF Authority can subsequently be claimed by submitting an online application electronically through the specified mechanisms.
