Segment-wise Performance and Milestones

The company's diverse product lines demonstrated steady operational progress:

CRGO Lamination: The CRGO Lamination business contributed Rs 127.6 Cr in revenue, representing an 18.2% YoY growth. Production volume stood at 6,550 MTPA. Management noted that the realization rates for CRGO have shown improvement compared to Q4 FY26, signaling early recovery in pricing and reinforcing management's optimism regarding future profitability enhancements. The company continues to target a 45% to 50% volume growth in this segment during FY27.

Nanocrystalline Core: This business generated Rs 3.3 Cr with a sales volume of approximately 28,194 kg. As operations continue to ramp up, the company expects further increases in revenue from the nanocrystalline core segment.

Radiators: The Radiator business contributed Rs 1.2 Cr in Q1FY27 with a sales volume of 119 MT. Operations for this segment commenced towards the end of April 2026. Management anticipates a meaningful ramp-up period starting from the second half of FY27, as new customers complete product approvals and qualification processes.

Copper Conductors: For Phase I (with an installed capacity of 1,550 to 1,800 MTPA), installation and commissioning activities proceeded as planned. Trial production is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with commercial revenue expected from the second half of FY27.

New Product Development: The company is actively engaged in R&D for a new High Voltage Bushings business targeting the 12 kV-400 kV segment. Given the specialized nature of this product, phased commercialization over the coming years is projected.

Strategic Expansion and Growth Outlook

Vilas Transcore Limited made significant strategic investments to support its manufacturing roadmap. The company acquired land and an adjacent building near its new Unit III facility for a consideration of Rs 3.50 Cr. Furthermore, approximately 12 acres of nearby land were purchased for Rs 5.56 Cr to facilitate future capacity expansion and business growth.

Looking ahead, the management aims for 45% to 50% revenue growth in FY27. This target is supported by higher capacity utilization at the expanded CRGO Lamination facility and increasing contributions from newer segments such as Radiators, Nanocrystalline Cores, and Copper Conductors. The company expects improvements in EBITDA and PAT margins contingent upon stability in CRGO steel prices and prevailing market conditions.

Established in 1996, Vilas Transcore remains a certified manufacturer of mission-critical components for the power transmission sector, operating three state-of-the-art facilities in Vadodara with an overall installed capacity across segments totaling 36,000 MTPA (CRGO laminations), 7,200 MTPA (radiators), and 240 MTPA (nanocrystalline cores).
