Tiger Logistics Q1 Revenue Jumps 48.8% as TEU Volumes Rise 28.7%; Profitability Margins Suffer Due to Cost Pressures

Tiger Logistics (India) Limited, an international logistics company listed on NSE and BSE, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a significant jump in revenue, while profitability metrics faced pressure due to elevated operating costs and market volatility.

The firm recorded a 48.8% year-on-year growth in revenue, reaching ₹15,252.5 lakhs, compared to ₹10,251.9 lakhs in Q1 FY26. This revenue increase was supported by healthy business volumes and customer activity. Concurrently, the company saw a 28.7% year-on-year growth in TEU volumes during Q1 FY27.

The financial performance details for the quarter are summarized below:

ParameterQ1 FY27 (₹ in Lakh)YoY Change
Revenue15,252.548.8%
Total Income15,412.748.2%
EBITDA438.2(40.5%)
EBIT413.6(42.1%)
PAT217.0(53.9%)

Despite the strong top-line growth, operational profitability faced challenges. The quarter saw EBITDA margin decline to 2.8%, EBIT margin stand at 2.7%, and PAT margin come in at 1.4%. These declines were primarily attributed to freight-rate volatility, higher transportation costs, and competitive pricing pressure.

Business Momentum and Market Environment

The company highlighted that the business continued a focus on retaining existing customers, strengthening customer relationships, and engaging with new clients amidst geopolitical uncertainties and freight-rate volatility.

In the broader global trade environment, uncertainty persisted due to geopolitical developments, tariff concerns, and changing trade routes, which affected both customer decisions and shipment patterns. Increased costs related to freight, fuel, insurance, and other logistics expenses put pressure on the company's gross and operating margins.

Management Perspective

Commenting on the results, Mr. Harpreet Singh Malhotra, Chairman & MD of Tiger Logistics (India) Limited, stated that FY27 began with strong business momentum. He noted that the 48.8% year-on-year increase in operational revenue to ₹152.5 crore reflected continued customer confidence and significant growth achieved through deeper market penetration and stronger engagement across key segments.

He added that this performance was reinforced by securing a renewed logistics mandate with Bank Note Paper Mill India and adding a new break-bulk logistics contract from BHEL. Mr. Malhotra further stated that the 28.7% TEU volume growth signaled a strong start to the year.

Looking ahead, the company intends to focus on sustaining this growth trajectory while working towards improving operational efficiency, strengthening margins, and converting expanding business volumes into sustainable profitability.
