Tata Motors Limited has acquired a significant minority stake in Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited, operating under the name Freight Tiger. The acquisition, completed through a secondary purchase from existing shareholders, aims to help establish a comprehensive, end-to-end digital ecosystem for the entire logistics value chain.

The company acquired an approximate 18% equity stake in Freight Tiger from existing shareholders, including Lightspeed India Partners I, LLC, Florintree Infra LLP, and Mr. Swapnil Shah. For this acquisition, Tata Motors paid an aggregate consideration of approximately ₹95.66 crore.

Following the successful completion of the acquisition, Tata Motors will hold up to a 63.6% stake in Freight Tiger on a fully diluted basis. The company plans to integrate Freight Tiger, subsequently operating it as a subsidiary.

It offers a cloud-based Transportation Management Software (TMS) platform to Corporates, referred to as 'Shippers,' and also runs a marketplace application called 'Carrier Matching' for fleet owners and LSPs.
