
Tata Steel Reports Consolidated EBITDA of Rs 9,370 Crores for Q1FY27; India Operations Drive Growth

During the reporting period, Tata Steel spent Rs 3,579 crores on capital expenditure. The company maintained strong financial health, with net debt standing at Rs 84,173 crores. This placed the Net Debt to EBITDA ratio at 2.3x. Group liquidity was reported at Rs 45,950 crores, which includes cash and cash equivalents totaling Rs 13,221 crores.
The Board had previously approved a core project for steelmaking capacity expansion of 4.8 MTPA in Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) at an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 33,873 crores.
