Operational and Strategic Updates​

Joint Ventures and Projects
During the quarter, the Company entered into a joint venture with Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) of Bhutan. This partnership is focused on developing the 1,125 MW Dorjilung Hydro Power Project, involving the acquisition of a 40% equity stake in Dorjilung Hydro Power Limited (DHPL). As part of this venture, the Company invested ~ 50 crore as the first tranche against a total proposed investment of approximately ~ 1,572 crore.

Arbitration Award
The Company noted that an unfavorable arbitration award was received in July 2025, with a final order issued in August 2025. This award seeks payment of USO 490.32 million and related costs and interest. Legal counsel advised the Company to file an appeal with the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) for setting aside the awards. The Company has not recorded any adjustments in the financial results for the quarter or year ended March 31, 2026, pending the final outcome of the litigation.

Regulatory Assets
The Group noted that, pursuant to the Supreme Court of India judgment dated August 6, 2025, regulatory assets are required to be liquidated in a time-bound manner. Accordingly, the Group recognized regulatory assets of 296 crore and a tax expense of 75 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026.

Segment Performance Overview​

Analysis of the consolidated segment results shows that Renewables generated 915.05 for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, and 4,340.93 for the full year. The Transmission and Distribution segment generated 1,358.78 in the quarter and 4,398.59 for the full year.

Total segment revenues and net movement in regulatory deferral balances amounted to 15,931.95 for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, and 63,615.61 for the year ended March 31, 2026.

Financial Position at Year-End​

At the close of the financial year on March 31, 2026, the Company’s total consolidated assets stood at 1,75,171.78, matching its total equity and liabilities. Total current assets were recorded at 30,571.05, while total current liabilities amounted to 39,223.57.
