This strategic move marks TAC Security's entry into the business to consumer (B2C) cybersecurity segment.Upon completion of the transaction, Safehouse Technologies Ltd. is slated to become a wholly owned subsidiary of TAC InfoSec Limited. The acquisition aligns with the Company’s strategy to expand its cybersecurity product portfolio and strengthen its presence in digital security and related technology offerings.
Safehouse, whose flagship consumer app carries the name 'Safehouse,' demonstrates significant B2C potential, boasting over 10 lakh downloads and a 4.2-star rating on Google Play. The platform is positioned as an all-in-one privacy and digital protection solution. Features include unlimited VPN access, encrypted browsing, threat blocking, phishing alerts, and breach detection, with global server coverage in markets such as the USA, UK, Singapore, Germany, India, and Brazil.
The transaction represents a significant expansion for TAC Security from its core enterprise and government clients into the fast-growing consumer digital protection market. As part of the proposed acquisition, TAC will acquire Safehouse’s intellectual property, including source code, product designs, trademarks, trade secrets, know how, and other IP developed in connection with the business. The consideration is proposed at ₹1 crore, which will be settled through a combination of cash and TAC Security stock.
