Sunventa Power's Memorandum Altered to Reflect Focus on Advanced Energy Storage and E-mobility

Sahaj Solar Limited has announced significant changes to the Main Object Clause of its subsidiary, Sunventa Power Private Limited. The alteration was approved by a Special Resolution passed at an Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

The change in the Memorandum of Association (MoA) aims to strategically align Sunventa's business with advanced energy storage systems and e-mobility solutions, moving beyond its core focus on grid-connected solar power projects.

Strategic Shift in Business Focus

Previously, Sunventa Power was engaged in the design, engineering, development, and operation of Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Projects. This included providing long-term operation and maintenance services for PV projects ranging from 200 KW to 2000 KW for various entities across India. The company was also involved in generating, selling, and dealing with solar and other renewable energy by entering into Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and RESCO Agreements.

The altered MoA introduces a broad expansion of activities, heavily centered on the rapidly growing fields of battery technology and electric mobility.

New Focus: Battery Systems and E-Mobility

The updated Main Object Clause grants Sunventa new capabilities across several high-growth sectors. The additions include:

  • Advanced Battery Manufacturing: Designing, developing, manufacturing, assembling, integrating, supplying, and trading advanced lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid storage, data centers, marine applications, robotics, and residential/industrial uses.
  • R&D and Innovation: Researching and commercializing indigenous electronic, electrical, and software technologies to ensure the safety and efficiency of energy storage solutions.
  • E-mobility Solutions: Engaging in the design, manufacture, and supply of battery packs, charging infrastructure, and related technologies for electric vehicles (EVs) and mobility platforms.
  • System Integration: Acting as a system integrator in the cell-to-container (C2C) value chain, offering consulting, repair, and maintenance services for energy storage systems.

The purpose behind this alteration is that the existing Main Object Clause did not adequately reflect the subsidiary's intended business activities in advanced energy storage systems and e-mobility solutions. The move allows the company to align its operations with its strategic vision and expansion plans.
