Kolkata: Shyam Sel and Power Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited, has successfully commissioned an 8.90 MWp Solar Power Project at its manufacturing facility in Jamuria, West Bengal. This milestone represents a significant stride in the group's commitment to transitioning toward greener energy sources and reducing its environmental footprint across operational facilities.

The commissioning enhances the company’s renewable energy portfolio by combining both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) models for power generation. The primary objective of the project is captive consumption, which aims to optimize operational power costs and support green energy integration within the manufacturing process.
