The wait is nearing its end for investors in the Shiprocket public issue. The allotment of shares from the Rs 1,617.48-crore offering is anticipated to be finalized today. Successful applicants can check their status via the registrar’s website or through the BSE and NSE portals.

The strong performance indicators suggest significant market enthusiasm for the listing. Shiprocket's Grey Market Premium (GMP) stands at 33%, currently trading at Rs 32 per share, which is 33% above the upper IPO price of Rs 97. If this trend persists, the company could make an estimated debut at Rs 129 per share on August 19, 2026.

Investor Demand and Subscription Metrics​

The IPO, which ran from August 12 to August 14, witnessed extreme investor demand. The issue was subscribed a massive 99.38 times overall. Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) showed particular zeal, driving the institutional portion to a staggering 122.80-times subscription.

The retail segment also garnered heavy interest, achieving a 46.42-times subscription. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) category followed closely behind with an 88.99-time subscription. Shiprocket allotted shares at the upper end of the price band, which was set between Rs 92 and Rs 97 per equity share.

Anchor Interest Highlights IPO Structure​

Ahead of the public offering, Shiprocket successfully raised Rs 727.41 crore from anchor investors. This pre-market participation highlighted strong institutional confidence in the company. Domestic mutual funds were key participants in this anchor allocation. A total of 5 crore shares (66.76%) were acquired by 13 domestic mutual funds across 31 schemes.

The IPO comprised a fresh issue component and an Offer For Sale (OFS). The company issued 9.13 crore equity shares through the fresh issue, totaling Rs 885.60 crore. Additionally, there was an OFS of 7.55 crore shares valued at Rs 731.98 crore. Axis Capital Ltd. acted as the book-running lead manager for the issue, with Kfin Technologies Ltd. serving as the registrar.

Future Use of IPO Proceeds and Corporate Strength​

Shiprocket has outlined a clear strategy for utilizing the net proceeds from the IPO. The company plans to allocate Rs 294 crore specifically toward marketing and brand-building activities. Furthermore, Rs 211 crore is earmarked for enhancing technology infrastructure and capabilities across its core and emerging business segments.

Approximately Rs 210 crore will be allocated for debt management, covering repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings, including accrued interest. The remaining funds are designated for potential inorganic growth opportunities and general corporate purposes.

Shiprocket’s Business Scale and Operations​

Shiprocket is positioned as a technology-led e-commerce enablement platform. It supports merchants by providing an integrated suite of solutions, spanning shipping, checkout, payments, fulfilment, and cross-border trade. The company began focused on simplifying logistics through automated pickups and shipment tracking.

As per its metrics for the six months ending September 30, 2025, Shiprocket served over 145,000 active merchants. These merchants processed more than 97 million transactions and reached a customer base of over 42 million. The platform boasts a robust repeat customer rate standing at 64.56%.
