The transaction involves SAMIL and its subsidiaries entering into an agreement to acquire a 28.15% stake in HRDPL. HRDPL has been established as a special purpose vehicle by Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited. This move comes after the Company had previously approved the execution of Power Delivery Agreements with HRDPL through previous corporate communications.
Initially, the completion of this transaction was estimated to occur during Q1 FY27. However, due to ongoing work toward completing various conditions precedent, SAMIL has updated the timeline, indicating that the acquisition is now likely to be completed during Q4 FY27.
