Resolven Seals 180-MW Wind Pact with SECI, Pushing Towards 10 GWp Renewable Ambition

Clean energy producer Resolven has secured a significant boost to its renewable portfolio, announcing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The deal involves supplying electricity from an upcoming 180-MW wind energy project.

The pact solidifies Resolven's commitment to enhancing its capacity in the clean energy sector. The project, which is being developed by Resolven’s subsidiary, Ganeko Three Energy Private Limited, marks a major step in the company’s multi-technology vision.

Strategic Mega-PPA Fuels Resolven's Growth Trajectory

Resolven announced that the agreement with SECI has been formalized at a fixed tariff of Rs 3.68 per unit. This transaction is crucial for scaling up the company's wind power generation footprint.

The new wind project is projected to generate approximately 490 million units (MU) of clean energy annually. This substantial capacity underlines the company's successful ability to execute large-scale power agreements.

Significant Environmental and Social Impact Metrics

The generated power has considerable implications for national sustainability goals. The 180-MW project is sufficient to power nearly 4.6 lakh households across India every year.

Furthermore, the clean energy generated will enable an estimated reduction of 0.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Resolven’s stated commitment highlights the profound environmental benefits associated with such large-scale renewable projects.

Scaling Up: Resolven's Path to 10 GWp by 2030

Resolven, an EQT-backed platform, emphasized that this PPA strengthens its overall renewable energy offerings. Parag Sharma, CEO, stated that the agreement is a meaningful step in advancing the vision of becoming a diversified, multi-technology renewable energy platform.

The company has already established substantial infrastructure, with over 2.5 GWp under construction capacity and 1.8 GWp already tied up. Resolven maintains a robust 5.5 GWp pipeline.

These achievements position the company to deliver a balanced and future-ready energy mix at scale. Resolven aims to deliver a high-quality total of 10 GWp of renewable assets by the year 2030.
