Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a contract from the East Central Railway for significant infrastructure development work related to the doubling of the Sitamarhi-Raxaul section in Samastipur Division. The project encompasses various construction activities along the route, underscoring RVNL's growing role in national railway expansion.

The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) awards RVNL the contract for constructing a comprehensive set of works, including earth work, blanketing, station and other building construction, platform work, minor bridges, major bridges, and LC work. The project focuses on doubling the section for 25T Indian Railway Standard Loading.

The scope of work covers approximately 41.04 km, specifically running from Kundawa Chainpur (excluding) to Raxaul (excluding), corresponding to Ch.145.500 to 186.540. This initiative is integral to the ongoing doubling efforts in the Samastipur Division of East Central Railway.
