Proposed Scheme of Arrangement Triggers NCLT Meetings at JSW Energy Limited​

JSW Energy Limited has scheduled convened meetings for its Equity Shareholders and Unsecured Creditors to address a proposed scheme of arrangement. The meetings are being held in response to directions issued by the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench.

The notice outlines that the meetings are required to approve the proposed scheme of arrangement between GE Power India Limited (the Demerged Company) and JSW Energy Limited (the Company or Resulting Company), as well as their respective shareholders. The action falls under Sections 230 to 232 and other applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

The scheduled meetings are set for Monday, July 20, 2026. Shareholders and creditors must attend either the morning session at 10:30 a.m. (IST) or the afternoon session at 12:30 p.m. (IST). The NCLT issued the necessary order regarding these meetings on June 2, 2026.

JSW Energy Limited shares slipped by 0.69% on Friday, settling at ₹570.10 after shedding ₹3.95 from the previous closing price. The equity traded with a volume of 3.66 million shares during the session.
