PFC Establishes Subsidiary SPV for 765 kV GIS Pune West Transmission Project

Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has established a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) as a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL). This move aims to facilitate the development of the intra-state transmission system for the "Establishment of 765 kV GIS Pune West" in the Pune district.

PFCCL, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC, has been appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for the selection of the Transmission Service Provider (TSP). This role was assigned after the Empowered Committee (EC), through a Government of Maharashtra resolution dated 27.02.2026, designated PFCCL to manage the process.

Under the guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), the BPC is responsible for preparing the project profile and initiating preparatory activities. These activities include the process of land acquisition, forest clearance, and conducting surveys and report preparation. To handle these preliminary tasks, the incorporation of an SPV is required.

The SPV formed under this process is designed to take up various preparatory activities for the transmission projects.
