
Oriana Power to Invest ₹4,500 Crore in Integrated Green Hydrogen Project in Maharashtra
Oriana Power Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra regarding a major green energy initiative. The MoU was executed on August 5, 2026, intending to establish an integrated Green Hydrogen project within the state.The partnership signifies Oriana Power’s intent to make an investment of approximately ₹4,500 crore. This substantial commitment is earmarked for setting up a comprehensive facility that will produce Green Hydrogen and its downstream derivatives. The project scope encompasses production facilities for Green Ammonia and Green Methanol, all in line with the applicable policies of the Government of Maharashtra.
Under the terms of the MoU, the Government of Maharashtra committed to providing essential facilitation and support to Oriana Power Limited. This support is designed to aid the company in securing necessary approvals, permissions, registrations, clearances, and applicable fiscal incentives from relevant State authorities. The collaboration aims to ensure the timely implementation of this proposed project.
