Oil India Limited Partners with CSIR to Boost Research in Energy Sector​

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 15, 2026, with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The agreement aims to foster collaborative research, innovation, and technology development within the energy sector.

The MoU was signed at OIL House in Noida by the CMD of Oil India Limited and the Director General of CSIR. Members present during the signing included the MD of NRL and other directors and senior officials from both organizations.

This strategic collaboration is designed to leverage the combined strengths of both institutions, focusing on advancing cutting-edge technologies and generating innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. The partnership seeks to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions while maintaining a focus on operational efficiency across operations.

The areas targeted for joint research and technology development are broad and include: upstream and downstream oil and gas operations; hydrocarbon reservoir optimization; enhanced oil recovery (EOR); renewable energy implementation; sustainable energy practices; and critical minerals.

Through this partnership, the MoU underscores Oil India Limited's commitment to strengthening its technological capabilities through strategic alliances with premier national research institutions. This move marks a significant step towards promoting innovation-driven growth and supporting the nation's energy security objectives.

OIL Stock Price Movement​
