
NTPC Group Announces Commercial Operation of 11 MWac Floating Solar Plant
NTPC Limited has announced that its subsidiary, THDC India Limited, has successfully commissioned and commenced commercial operations of an 11 MWac Floating Solar Plant. The facility is situated on the Raw Water Reservoir of the Khurja STPP and was declared operational effective July 17, 2026.The commencement of this project marks a significant addition to the renewable energy portfolio of the group. Following the commissioning of the floating solar plant, the total installed and commercial capacity of THDC India Limited has reached 3,918 MW.
The integration of this facility enhances the operational capabilities of the Khurja STPP infrastructure while contributing to the broader capacity growth of the NTPC group.
