NTPC Declares Commercial Operation of 800 MW Unit at Patratu STPP Phase-1​

NTPC Ltd has announced that Unit #2 of the Patratu STPP Phase-1 project, operated by its subsidiary Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), has been declared operational. The unit reached commercial operation on June 25, 2026.

This milestone marks an increase in the group’s generating capacity as the 800 MW unit comes online at the Patratu STPP Phase-1 site.

Following the commissioning of this unit, NTPC reported its updated installed and commercial capacities. The total installed capacity for the NTPC group now stands at 90,857 MW. The commercial capacity has been reported at 89,777 MW.

NTPC Stock Price Movement​

NTPC Limited shares today slipped by 0.86% to settle at ₹364.6, reflecting a modest decline in the power sector. The stock traded within a range defined by its daily high of ₹369.25 and low of ₹361.9.
