NTPC Green Energy Limited’s Group Capacity Rises as Vanki Wind Project Commences Commercial Operation​

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced a significant increase in its group's installed capacity following the commencement of commercial operations for the Vanki Wind Energy Project. The project, located in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, is operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

The debut of the wind energy facility marks the addition of 50.4 MW (first part capacity) to the company's portfolio. The Vanki Wind Energy Project was declared operational effective from 00:00 hrs on July 8, 2026.

Prior to this expansion, the commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited stood at 10,671.40 MW. With the integration of the new capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 10,721.80 MW.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy Limited shed 2.56% on Tuesday, concluding at ₹92.67 after trading in response to market pressures. The stock movement involved a volume of 6.19 million shares during the session.
