
NTPC Green Energy Boosts Capacity with Commercial Operation of 150 MW Solar Project
NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has reported the commencement of commercial operation for a significant solar project, boosting the group's overall installed capacity.The company announced that 150 MW of solar capacity, sourced from the total installed capacity of 300 MW Solar Project, is now operational. This project is located in Rajasthan and belongs to Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step down subsidiary of the joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Private Limited. The commercial operation of this solar capacity was declared effective from April 18, 2026.
The addition of this capacity significantly increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group.
