NSE Rallies with Stronger Quarter Profit as Consolidated Earnings Cross ₹3,120 Crore Mark

Mumbai: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) announced a significant consolidated profit after tax of ₹3,120 crore for the June quarter. This figure marks an 8.7% increase compared to the previous quarter's earnings, which stood at ₹2,871 crore.

The results highlight a mixed performance across various metrics. While the bottom line showed growth compared to the preceding period, consolidated revenue from operations experienced a decline. The financial details provide a nuanced view of the exchange's operational health over the past three months.

Q-o-Q Financial Performance Snapshot

For the recently concluded quarter, NSE recorded a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹4,560 crore. This represents an 8.2% decline when compared to the figures reported in the immediately preceding quarter.

Despite the dip in operational revenue, the profit segment showed positive momentum relative to the last reporting period. The consolidation metrics confirm that while top-line income saw a moderate decrease, the profitability of the exchange strengthened during the June quarter.

Year-on-Year Growth and Revenue Trends

When benchmarking against the same period one year ago, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) showed marked improvement in key performance areas. Consolidated profit after tax demonstrated a healthy 7% increase over the previous fiscal year's corresponding period.

Furthermore, consolidated revenue from operations increased by a solid 13% year-over-year. These trends indicate an underlying resilience and gradual expansion of the exchange’s operational footprint when measured against the prior financial cycle.
