Namo E-Waste Management to Set Up Hydrometallurgy Plant in Faridabad for Critical Metal Recovery

Namo E-Waste Management Limited has announced a significant expansion of its recycling capabilities with the establishment of a new Hydrometallurgy Plant in Faridabad, Haryana. This facility is designed to further enhance the company’s efforts in processing e-waste and recovering vital materials.

The move represents a key step in the company's journey toward achieving full-scale end-to-end recycling. The new plant will process black mass and enable the in-house recovery of critical metals, including Lithium (Li), Nickel (Ni), Cobalt (Co), and Manganese (Mn). This development is expected to facilitate the generation of EPR credits for all battery metals processed at the site, solidifying the company's role in the battery recycling value chain.

The company reported its prior success in the field, noting the successful setting up of its Nashik Plant in the Financial Year 2025-26. The Nashik facility currently processes Li-Ion batteries up to black mass, recovering base metals such as Copper (Cu), Ferrous (Fe), and Aluminium (AI).

The expansion into Faridabad is a strategic move aligned with capitalizing on the growing opportunities within the electric vehicle (EV) and battery space. Furthermore, the initiative supports the Government of India's National Critical Mineral Mission by strengthening domestic supply chains and reducing import dependence for critical metals.

The new Hydrometallurgy Plant in Faridabad is expected to become operational by December 2026.
