Maruti Suzuki Delivers Mega Payout: Get the Deadline Alert for 38 Stocks Turning Ex-Record Today

Today marks a critical deadline for investors looking to capitalize on upcoming corporate actions across multiple sectors. As of Friday, August 7th, thirty-eight companies, including market leaders like Maruti Suzuki and Grasim Industries, are set to turn ex-record date for dividend payouts. This makes today the absolute last opportunity for interested shareholders to purchase these stocks and be eligible for the declared payments.

The Dividend Ex-Record Date Deadline

The eligibility of a share depends on adherence to SEBI's T+1 settlement cycle. Investors must acquire a company's shares at least one trading day prior to the official record date. Failure to complete this transaction before today means the shares will not be credited in time, thereby disqualifying the investor from receiving the intended dividends.

Maruti Suzuki Shareholders Rewarded with Highest Payout

Among the companies setting their ex-record date on Friday is Maruti Suzuki, which is set to reward its shareholders with a final dividend of Rs 140 per share. This significant payout was announced by the automaker in April and is scheduled for disbursement on September 9th.

Maruti Suzuki plans to pay a total of Rs 4,401.6 crore as part of this financial year's dividend structure. This represents an increase from the previous financial year, when the company declared a payout of Rs 135 per share totaling Rs 4,244.4 crore. Data shows Maruti has maintained a consistent history of shareholder returns, having declared dividends since July 2004 and paying various amounts in previous years.

A Look at Other Major Dividend Payouts

Beyond the marquee announcements from Maruti Suzuki, numerous other companies have announced attractive payouts for their shareholders on the ex-record date. ABB India will be distributing a special dividend of Rs 90 per share. Chennai Petroleum Corporation is also set to pay a final dividend of Rs 54 per share.

A diverse group of companies are making payouts today. Grasim Industries, Avanti Feeds, Jasch Gauging Technologies, PI Industries, United Breweries, and Venus Remedies will each issue dividends of Rs 10 per share. Lesser-known but significant announcements include Sharda Cropchem setting aside a final dividend of Rs 9 per share.

Comprehensive Dividend Listing

The list of companies receiving payouts is extensive across various market caps and sectors. Ipca Laboratories is slated to pay Rs 6 per share, while KEC International and Nava will each issue Rs 5.5 per share. Bhagwati Autocast and Jayant Agro-Organics are set to provide a final dividend of Rs 3.5 per share apiece.

Other notable payouts include:

  • Mukand, Netweb Technologies India, and Quess Corp all paying shareholders Rs 3 per share.
  • Shyam Metalics And Energy offering Rs 2.7 per share.
  • Aarvi Encon and Wonderla Holidays each set to pay Rs 2 per share.
  • Arvind Fashions will provide a final dividend of Rs 1.6 per share.

The remaining companies include Rubicon Research, Sahyadri Industries, Shri Dinesh Mills, Tube Investments of India, and Varroc Engineering (all paying Rs 1.5 per share). Cholamandalam Financial Holdings is set to pay Rs 1.3 per share. IDFC First Bank, Manba Finance, and Sagility are among those disbursing smaller interim dividends at rates of Rs 0.25, Rs 0.25, and Rs 0.1 per share respectively.

In addition to the dividend payouts, Jojo is also turning ex-record for a stock split today.
