Mumbai, January 1, 2026: Mahindra & Mahindra Limited reported a strong close to calendar year 2025, with total vehicle sales rising 25 percent year on year to 86,090 units in December, supported by robust demand across utility vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractors, and the trucks and buses segment.

Auto Sales Performance Highlights​

The company delivered its highest-ever monthly SUV volumes, reinforcing its leadership position in the utility vehicle segment.
  • Total vehicle sales stood at 86,090 units in December 2025, marking a 25 percent year-on-year increase.
  • Domestic utility vehicle sales rose 23 percent to 50,946 units.
  • Domestic commercial vehicle sales increased 34 percent to 24,786 units.
  • Exports for the month were reported at 2,820 units.

Tractor Sales Surge on Strong Rural Demand​

Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business delivered a sharp rise in tractor sales, supported by improved rural cash flows and favorable agricultural conditions.
  • Domestic tractor sales jumped 37 percent year on year to 30,210 units.
  • Total tractor sales, including exports, stood at 31,859 units, up 39 percent.
  • Exports surged 78 percent to 1,649 units during the month.

Trucks and Buses Business Maintains Momentum​

The Trucks and Buses business also delivered strong growth, reflecting improving demand conditions across cargo and passenger segments.
  • Total trucks and buses sales rose 43 percent year on year to 2,260 units in December.
  • Cargo vehicle volumes increased 40 percent, while passenger vehicle volumes grew 48 percent.
  • Year-to-date volumes for the segment stood at 21,114 units, up 13 percent.

Management Commentary​

Commenting on the performance, senior management noted that calendar year 2025 concluded on a positive note, with record volumes in SUVs and light commercial vehicles. Improved agricultural output, favorable weather conditions, and early signs of an upcycle in the commercial vehicle segment were cited as key demand drivers heading into the final quarter of the financial year.
