Auto Sales Figures for May 2026​

M&M Ltd. announced that its overall auto sales for May 2026 reached 99,636 vehicles, marking a 20% year-over-year (YoY) growth, including exports. In the Utility Vehicles segment, the company sold 58,021 vehicles in the domestic market, reflecting an 11% growth, and 59,573 vehicles overall, including exports. Domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles stood at 24,079, a 19% increase.

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., the sustained demand across the company's portfolio was observed, though the growth was constrained by supply chain challenges due to manpower shortages at select suppliers.

Farm Equipment Business Registers 23% Growth​

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported that domestic tractor sales for May 2026 were 47,845 units, showing a 23% year-on-year growth compared to 38,914 units in May 2025. Total tractor sales for the month, including exports, reached 49,695 units, up from 40,643 units in the same period last year. Export sales for the month accounted for 1,850 units.

Veejay Nakra, President -Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., attributed the high domestic growth to the timely completion of Rabi harvesting and favorable terms of trade for farmers.
