M & B Engineering Limited stated that it does not qualify as a "Large Corporate" under the current regulatory framework, confirming that the requirement for the Initial Disclosure for the financial year 2026-27 is not applicable.

The framework for identifying "Large Corporates" requires listed entities (other than Scheduled Commercial Banks) to meet three specific criteria as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

The criteria for being classified as a "Large Corporate" are:

• Possessing specified securities, debt securities, or non-convertible redeemable preference shares listed on a recognized stock exchange.
• Having outstanding long-term borrowings of Rs. 1,000 crore or more (excluding specified categories).
• Holding a credit rating of "AA" or above for unsupported bank borrowings or plain vanilla bonds.

M & B Engineering Limited noted that the company does not have outstanding long-term borrowings of Rs. 1,000 Crore or more. Based on this fact, the company concluded that it does not meet the stipulated requirements to be classified as a "Large Corporate," thus exempting it from the mandate for the Initial Disclosure for the financial year 2026-27.
