
Bengaluru, February 17, 2026: Infosys Limited (NSE: INFY, BSE: INFY, NYSE: INFY) on Monday announced a strategic collaboration with AI research firm Anthropic to develop and deploy advanced enterprise AI solutions across complex and highly regulated industries, beginning with telecommunications.
The partnership will integrate Infosys Topaz AI offerings with Anthropic’s Claude models, including Claude Code, to automate complex workflows, accelerate software development cycles, and enable agentic AI systems across sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, and engineering.
Collaboration to Begin in Telecom with Dedicated AI Center of Excellence
As part of the initial rollout, Infosys will establish a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence focused on the telecommunications sector. The initiative aims to build and deploy AI agents tailored to industry-specific operations, including network modernization, customer lifecycle management, and service delivery transformation.The collaboration is expected to subsequently expand to financial services, manufacturing, and software development, enabling enterprises to embed AI across core business processes while maintaining governance and transparency standards.
Focus on Agentic AI and Enterprise Modernization
At the heart of the alliance is a focus on agentic AI systems, designed to independently manage multi-step workflows such as claims processing, compliance reviews, and code generation and testing.Using Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK and Infosys’ engineering scale, the companies aim to help enterprises:
- Automate complex operational processes
- Modernize legacy systems
- Reduce infrastructure migration costs
- Accelerate digital transformation initiatives
Industry-Specific Applications
Under the collaboration, custom AI agents will be developed for targeted industry applications:- Telecommunications: AI-enabled network operations modernization and improved service delivery.
- Financial Services: Faster risk detection, automated compliance reporting, and personalized financial advisory solutions based on comprehensive client data.
- Manufacturing and Engineering: Accelerated product design, simulation capabilities, and reduced R&D timelines.
- Software Development: Deployment of Claude Code to assist in writing, testing, and debugging code. Infosys has already begun using Claude Code internally within its Exponential Engineering organization.
